Ladakh " land of high passes"

In the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh lies between the Karakoram mountain range in the north and the main Himalayas to the south. It is one of the highest regions in the world. Its high plains, deep valleys and mountain views are quite breathtaking.
